PCL - Polish Combination Lock

Postby Squelchtone » 11 Sep 2018 22:15

A gentleman from a new Polish lock company contacted me asking if he could post here.

He has an interesting new design for a manipulation proof combination lock

Here is the link to his page, there are several videos you may watch to see how it works.

https://www.polishlocks.com/

His hope is to start a kickstarter or some other crowd sourced funding campaign in order to bring the lock to market.

He would also like to send a prototype to someone like Bosnian Bill or Lockpicking Lawyer for their review and to see if they can pick it/crack it.

Please welcome member polishlocks, Mr. Zbigniew Olejnik to our forum.

Thank you,
Squelchtone

That seems to be quite a nice design. Welcome to the forum, Polishlocks! Would like to get one at least one of your locks when your KickStarter starts. Please keep us informed!

One thing that I would be willing to try is prototyping using my 3D printer. The parts would be PLA (a type of plastic), so obviously they would not be a final product that could be sold. But you would have a working model of the lock. I would even try to match the colors of the parts in the video to show them working. A padlock body design that would have viewing windows in it could be designed and printed so all the internal parts could be seen working.

Of course, I would need the 3D CAD files that are seen in the video in order to try this.

Just an idea. :D

Hello, thanks for warm welcome. I can send you steps files of this first prototype. they are not perfect but you can tune them to be workable. I am looking now for any company here in Poland to make prototypes and then to send them to best in class youtubers for review. The ultimate goal is to test this mechanism in simple padlock prior to start production and to apply it in doors (Safes and Residential doors). I need to proof that this mechanism is really secure. Now I am starting "Kickstarter" in Poland it calls polakpotrafi.com and people will finance this prototype. Later I will start certification process for EU norms like EN1300 etc. Finally looking for some strategic investor to start mass production. Will see soon.

If you like to produce prototype I can send you my (not perfect but quite ok) step files for 3D or CNC. Please contact me directly : polishlocks@tlen.pl it will be much easier while I am now busy looking for any Company with CNC Lathe etc. machinery to produce first prototypes.

Thanks again,

Zbigniew
