Bump Resistance Pyramid vs. Novel

I'm planning on having an apartment complex I own rekeyed. I want to replace the masters because we had a lot of hands on them with construction we did recently. All doors have BEST A interchangeable cores. I posted about maison keying common rooms previously but decided not to do that (using Trilogy combination locks instead).

We had a problems with bump keys in the past and they scare me. One locksmith I consulted suggested Corbin Pyramid bump resistant cores. The second locksmith I consulted recommended Abloy Novel bump resistant cores. I have Abloy Novel on another property and like that most stores don't know how to copy them.

Both systems are expensive, but are within our budget. What do you all think of Pyramid vs. Novel especially relating to bumping?

Abloy locks are not bump resistant. They are bump proof.

Bumping requires both key pins and driver pins to be present to work. Abloy locks, being disc detainer locks rather than pin tumbler locks, do not have pins at all, and are therefore immune to bumping.

BiLock is also bump proof since it does not use driver pins at all, nor do their pins even come to the shear line.

The Abloy disk system is bump proof ... can’t be done
For highly used cylinders I find that Abloy stands up well to wear especially if the person pulls on the key to open the door. I have DiskLock pro, Protec 1 and 2 on many buildings no issues or problems.

Corbin Pyrmaid is out of patent too, sometime this summer as I recall. If your paying for high security, you mine has well get something covered under a current patent, IMO.
