I have searched all over, but I can't find an answer. I am sure that many of you will criticize me for asking this question.... I am looking for information on how to pick a cheap laminated padlock... the old, cheap type that has a key with square (90 degree) notches. Like this one.... https://www.murdochs.com/products/tools ... qkQAvD_BwE

Easy Pick, others may help, one post? I wouldn't use this lock to protect something you like.

It's a Warded lock, buy a set of Warded picks (usually 5 in a set) one of those will open it for you.
They are not expensive, got mine from Sparrows.

Since you have the answer, in the 70's, no sorce of info, and knowing no Locksmiths, I would grind locks open(grind the rivets, and separate the layers) to see how they worked, took the Zig zag key, place in vice sideways and grind down only leaving a T at the end, I did notice sometimes with these, with tension on Shackle, turn with fully inserted, then pull back a little and turn again and it would open. Their is a reverse, zig zag, as well as smaller, may have been 3 sizes as well? Good luck.
