What type of trunk is this? And does it have any value?

My dad and I found this trunk. At first we thought nothing of it, then right below the lock we noticed it said eagle and Company. We're not sure what it is other than we know it's a steamer trunk made by eagle and Company if anyone has any information to offer I would love to hear it. Here are some pictures

Looks like a wardrobe trunk. Less used today, but if clean and and in sound condition, it should be saleable. They were used by sea travelers.
