How Long can S&G Safe Locks Last?

Postby Pick180 » 10 Feb 2019 16:53

I was thinking about replacing my harbor freight safe because I am afraid that I will forget to change the batteries and I wont be able to get back in (I lost the keys long ago and the safe is not that good anyway). How reliable are the classic S&G combination safe locks (such as the S&G 6730)?

The S&G 6730 and the LG 3330 are probably the most reliable combination locks available, but I can't give you a MTBF for them.

IMHO you wont find a more reliable lock.

For the average consumer it will last a life time plus.

Its UL tested for security but that does not evaluate longevity.

I think UL test 10000 openings, just like EN 1300.
