Think I'll kick off a reusable thread for people looking to buy, sell or trade factory original pre-cut (usually stamped) keys. These are keys that hardware stores and locksmiths exhume and discard from a lock's packaging when a lockset is being immediately re-keyed (keyed alike, master keyed, etc) at the shop, and so these poor discarded keys have never had an opportunity to fulfill their reason for existence.
Factory pre-cut keys can be very useful to a locksmith, especially small fries like myself, asked to "change somebody's locks" -- aka, to repin and rekey a customer's lock to retire any old keys in circulation.
Obtaining these keys for cheap or free is a labor of love, and for most of us, a constant vigilant hunt met with curious looks and confusion, even among other professionals.
