Not a lock question per se—can anyone ID this key blank?

Got a cool old key? What keyway is this?! Need a key for that old steamer trunk or padlock? Do Not Duplicate got you down? What's that part number for that factory key section? Which supplier has this key blank in stock? Need the MACS, root depth, or Depth and Spacing for your lock? Need some pre cut keys? Keys and Key Blanks is the forum for you!

Not a lock question per se—can anyone ID this key blank?

Anyone recognize this style of key blank? Where can I find/buy them?

(I don’t have one, just ran across the image)

Thanks

when I click that pic it does not get any bigger.. would you have something with more detail? or the link to the original instead of on imgur?

Thanks

If I was a betting man I would say its just a schlage C keyway from that picture. Closer up picks from the front back and tip would help. Is there a "C" stamped on it?

Sorry, maybe I should have been more clear.

This is for a Schlage C keyway--I'm just looking for this style of blank, with the "low profile" round bow and the large hole.

I thought the photo I had was higher-resolution--let me see if I can find the larger version.

No, there's no split ring.

The original image is 57KB, but the embedded version says it's ~4K.

Here's a new copy of the embedded image, which I don't expect to be any better:

hopefully one of these shows up as slightly larger.

we had a customer get one of those stuck around her car key and could not get the key out of her ignition!

Fantastic! Thanks!

Not sure how I feel about using aluminum keys...

I’ve just realized there’s a key blank forum now—possible for me to move this topic retroactively?

I've seen one of those in person. Neat idea. I normally rip all the plastic off of keys and some of them are already like that underneath.

Wonder if you contacted them and asked for Brass if they would make them.
yeah yeah
