Part of a latch name

Postby field3d » 7 Aug 2019 9:41

Hello. I have a big case and it has latches but one of them is missing one part. At his missing part is like a pivot or I don’t know the name, that is why I ask here how can I find that pivot or whatever it’s name is. Here are the pictures:

The missing part is the photo that is that kind of pivot, that pivot goes to the latch to hold the clamp and avoid it falls. Then what is the name of the pivot to search it?

Thank you

hinge pin?

Call the company that makes the case. (Odyssey, SKB, Pelican, Hardigg, there are many other ATA road case companies)

Here is a link to a very similar looking locking latch https://www.odyssey-parts.com/product-c ... g-latches/

I doubt you can just buy the pin though, you will probably need to buy a whole new lock and take the pin from it, or drill out the rivets on your old lock and river in the new lock that is not broken.

Ok I will check. I was expecting find just the pins but I will try to look for a latch and remove the pin from there. There are no pins for other purposes that can work for this?

You can Google "sex bolts" and get one of those, perhaps from the hardware store (Ace Hardware, True Value, Home Depot, Lowe's) or whatever you have in your city/state/country
