Ive picked Medeco Biaxial Cam Locks and was looking to re-pin a few. I found a listing for mixed PINS for them EBAY but want to be able to sort the pins in my own container and label them as well. Cant find specific specs on each of them though. I am aware of the 20º cuts in Fore, Aft, Straight. I'm familiar with the bottom pin decoders too. Don't believe I've come across a specific Biaxial Series 60 pin decoder. They don't have top pins for all those do not know. Just a Small centering Pin on top for the spring. The Pinning kit has 22 pins - Short of looking at bay listings all day hoping they are correct. Is there a specific pinning measurement guide? Or decoder? etc? Like what are the actual cut depth measurements? Yes, I could buy a mixed bag and start eyeballing it/ process of elimination. But what if there aren't examples of all the pins in the bag. https://www.ebay.com/itm/323598330883 FORE LEFT4K TP-F90-4K 5KTP-F90-5K 6KTP-F90-6K 7KTP-F90-7K AFT LEFT5MTP-F90-5M 6MTP-F90-6M 7MTP-F90-7M FORE CENTER4BTP-F90-4B 5BTP-F90-5B 6MTP-F90-6B 7MTP-F90-7M AFT CENTER4DTP-F90-4D 5DTP-F90-5D 6DTP-F90-6D 7DTP-F90-7D FORE RIGHT5QTP-F90-5Q 6QTP-F90-6Q 7QTP-F90-7Q AFT RIGHT4STP-F90-4S 5STP-F90-5S 6STP-F90-6S 7STP-F90-7S I had to typeset al that for my latblemaker anyways. Just want to add actual cut depths, and a decoder to the box. Help Please? Resources? Direction? The Medeco catalog doesn't have anything on it.

I’ll look at my kits. Know I have the specs written somewhere, and can measure them either way.

Much appreciated. I want to include a PIC of each pin on the label and measurements in the final iteration. My Children enjoy Locksport and we are all visual thinkers. Appreciate as much help as possible for easy identification. Not sure if the most important measurement is from centerline in the hole to bottom of pin? Most likely we would cut these by hand with a file. UnlessI find an inexpensive enough Blitz Are you aware of a specific decoder for these pins? Are all Medeco cut depths the same? Like a '4' is a 4 cut depth across all the keyways?

Only Medeco Biaxial pin decoder I know of is made for the full size pins, although it should aid with the direction of the pins, not the depths https://www.labpins.com/locksmiths/p/la ... xial-pins/

I can easily decode a pin angle by sight. Familiar with that decoder too. Curious if anyone has it though. None of the pics are very high quality, More curious if the series 60 pins are identical to the others and if the TOP part of the gauge has a plastic 'sidebar pin' that would translate over to the cut depths IF the length of the pin hit the bottom of the slot and the sidebar hole lined up. I'd imagine it HAS to cover the CAM Pins/ Biaxial Cam Pins too in some form or fashion. Just no documentation to that effect. IF NOT!!!! ???? Well, Looks like I could make a specific decoder for the pins. I already documented lots of Master Pinning schemes in these pins too. some are as follows. -> example - TP-F90-4B <- Standard Biaxial Cam Pin example - TP-F90-4B-6K <- MASTER Biaxial Cam Pin, the pin has 2 different depths and holes for the sidebar. TP-F90-4B-6K TP-F90-4B-6Q TP-F90-4B-7B TP-F90-4B-7K TP-F90-4B-7Q TP-F90-4D-6M TP-F90-4K-7B TP-F90-4S-6D TP-F90-4S-6M TP-F90-4S-7M TP-F90-4S-7S TP-F90-5Q-7B TP-F90-5S-7D Now I can add those to the collection of labels. Still not finding documentation about these and they are OLD. billdeserthills wrote:skygear wrote:GWiens2001 wrote:I’ll look at my kits. see how there are 2 pin holes for the sidebar? those are Master/shared access pins. I still don't have the measurements though...

I actually do have that decoder, but the biaxial can pins don't go by length, they're all the same length, so all the decoder is good for is determining the left, right & center/ aft & fore

If you look closely at the two sidebar holes, one is shallow and one is deep. That is for picking protection.

Thanks bill!
GWeins - are you sure? I was thinking that it was made that way to coincide with a shared key system/mastering system. The second number matches up to a second pin position if looking at the first pic in the OP that shows the CAM pin kit you buy to service these locks.

What if!!! What if. you took one of the CAM PINS and held it in there to the centerline of the HOLE / sidebar hole to take the measurement? Would that give an accurate decoding? I have one in transit to mean will be able to test soon. Just a thought though.

Weird, I just re=-read this and could swear I added an example as I typed it. Here is the example supporting my theory - If you look at one of the multi holed pins stock numbers. The last 2 digits coincide with another Pin position on the Box picture in the OP. So a TP-F90-5S-7D would be a 5S AFT Right and a 7D AFT Center. For shared access or Master pinning just based off of the 2 holes. I feel the angle some of the pins are photographed at make them appear to be more shallow than they are. The sidebar doesn't need a drastically deep hole to operate either.

ok. so the lab decoder was a bust., \\\ they are all a size 1 pin and then the depths are not measurable with this device. also, in the cam biaxial. Still cant find the cut depths that are associated with these pins. 4,5,6,7 don't line up with direct bitting values.

Sorry I didn't answer this for a while, but even if the OP does not need the information anymore, am sure someone else can use the info.
Add the pin length to the cut depth and you will get the plug diameter. That is where you get the correlation between pin length and depth of cut. The same thing works with all pin tumbler locks to the best of my knowledge.

You don’t happen to have the measurements for these do you? I think I have them down but want someone to confirm. 4 0.125” 5 0.1125” 6 0.1” 7 0.0875” 8 0.075” 9 0.0625” X 0.05” For locks that aren’t pinned using half-step, valid depths are only 4,5,6 and 7. 4=4, 6=5, 8=6, and X=7.
