I broke my Raimundo Bogota :-(

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I broke my Raimundo Bogota :-(

After years and years of reliable use, the unfortunate has happened.

I was picking an ILCO rim cylinder with an Eagle keyway on a garage door and while removing my triple rake out of the lock, I noticed the first 2 peaks were missing and somewhere inside the lock.

After taking the lock out of the door, I got the broken piece out. Looks like it's time to reach into my street sweeper bristle stash and make a new one. I hope I can make one even half as good as the real Raimundo one.

moment of silence please...

I don't even have the words. I mean, you obviously have my condolences on your irreplaceable loss, but still, those feel like inadequate words for the circumstance. Seriously.

Right before he retired he was making me a dozen Bogota sets. If those had come through, I'd gladly have given you one, but sadly right after I spoke to him about making those sets, it was when he took his impromptu hiatus which appears to have become his retirement, so he was never able to complete them.

Wherever you are now Rai, and if you ever read this, I hope you're doing well.

Ditto. You are missed, and we care, Rai.
