Keyway King!!! Yep, keys and keyways

Got a cool old key? What keyway is this?! Need a key for that old steamer trunk or padlock? Do Not Duplicate got you down? What's that part number for that factory key section? Which supplier has this key blank in stock? Need the MACS, root depth, or Depth and Spacing for your lock? Need some pre cut keys? Keys and Key Blanks is the forum for you!

@demux & Bill

I've looked in the past and not come up with anything too. Even setup Craiglist app to watch for me to no avail.

I'll look at that link bill. Looks more reasonable instead of a dedicated machine/

Yeah, I've looked at them as well and have read mixed reviews. A common complaint seems to be that, at least on some of their lower end stuff, the columns are not as rigid as they could be and that can lead to errors in the workpiece. Probably not a huge issue for milling key blanks out of brass or nickel silver stock due to its relative softness, but I figure if I'm going to drop the money on something new I may as well get something I can use for more than just that. And frankly, Grizzly's prices 3-4 years ago were low enough that I may have been OK spending less and getting less, but they've come up a lot since then. Same for Harbor Freight also, for that matter. My thinking is, if I'm going to spend $750 for a cheap mill, I may as well spend $1000 for a nice one. The distinction becomes more compelling when the difference starts to be $400 or $500...

It really sucks the way everyone seems to always be cheapening their products

+1000 to that. I think most people would be willing to pay a bit extra for a good quality product that will last, if you put the value proposition to them just like that.
