Home made core shims?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Home made core shims?

Postby Mc_Fly » 13 Oct 2019 20:24

Hello, sorry for my english. I hope this is the place to ask this:

Can i make home made core shims for dissasemble euro cylinders? Not padlocks.
With what material can i make it? Anyone has made it?

Thank you!

I have found these shims are a little thinner than the shims I buy

I have shimmed an ASSA Twin with these shims. Can’t do that with a locksmith shim! I used these shims two nights ago to open some Yale PKPT padlocks.

Interesting idea. I'll go pick up a Hunger Games CD.

If this is a joke, it didn't come out very well.

You are stealing something very small and inexpensive. Still stealing.
Just use the shims you get when you buy something.

Thanks

Agreed. We do not promote or condone stealing.
