ok - welcome to the forums - we need the following:

describe what you mean by "it has a star on it" - is it a little sticky star that primary school kids get for good work or is it some kind of logo?

when you say "nothing I tried worked" tell us what you tried - I've tried opening locks by yelling at them, attempting telekinisis and just plain giving them funny looks but none of that worked either.

when you say "it's in the floor" can you give us a bit more description? i.e. is it locking a safe? is it part of a door to a basement/man-hole etc?

can you find pictures or photos on the web somewhere that look similar?

do you have the key? if so - what does that look like? does it look like a normal key?

plz give good info yourself - it will help us identify what type of lock you have so we can help.
Oh look! it's 2016!

The likelyhood of this being legal is quite low
