Antique dial mailbox

Hi I have an antique one dial (alphabet) mailbox and cant remember the combination. I dont want to break my box, but I really need the pink slip to my truck. I would appreciate any help to get it open.

How do these locks work? Do you have a photo of the box?

I am familiar with these boxes, and no offense but this seems like a bit of a shady question from someone who just joined and has only one post. Your best bet would be to contact your apartment manager/dorm manager/postmaster or whatever authority exists at the location where you have your mailbox and have them reset the combo for you.

I think what the OP has is a "vintage mailbox safe" (google).

People take the doors from the old alphabet mailboxes when the building is being destroyed/renovated and mount them on wooden boxes to make in effect a childs bank. Some even have slots cut in the box to drop coins, etc.

Easily opened but because of the rules I wont mention it here.

the mailbox is now a box on my dressed. The reason I only have one post is I never knre this site existed because i never had any reason to search how to open the mailbox. I am honestly trying to open MY box but forgot the combination, it is a one dial box with the letters A-J on it.
