Do you guys have any tips for what to do when I don’t have a TOK tension tool and not a lot of space in the key way and the bitting isn’t too great either? Any specific picks that help?

Why don't you have a tok tension wrench? I suggest you make or get one.

A pick with a thin shaft may help anyway.

Cheers :)

My very first picks were made from what are called bobby pins in this country.

They make a great narrow TOK tension wrench. Narrow picks, too.

After my first "starter kit", the first thing I added were TOK tension tools.
The second thing I added were a few 0.015" picks.

I don't think there are any particular tricks to work around difficult key ways, you simply need the correct tools.

However, there's no guarantee. Some locks will still be near impossible to pick anyway. Sometimes the lock manufacturers simply beat us. :(

You can make your own top of tension tool with a piece of wire hanger if you bend it in the shape you want and flatten the ends with a hammer--it might need a little grinding or filing

I guess I’ll have to make or buy some. I’ll try the Bobby pins idea in the meantime.
