I haven’t ghosted you folks! :) mostly hitting the Sparrows progressive 2 and 3 pin locks. I sort of feel like I should be able to open more complex locks by now, but I’m not super frustrated. Was no issue to open a cheap bicycle cable lock that I happened to rediscover recently. I believe that the Sparrows are considered Schlage-type locks. It’s easier for me to use BOK and a Euro hook. Opening the 3 pin one only happens once in a while. No luck raking anything open, although it seems like many picks will open the 2 pin one very quickly, especially the short snake with a wiggling inward motion, but no luck at all with a quick pulling out, or a standard raking motion. Pretty sure that I am accurately self-diagnosing quite a bit of over-setting. Just is difficult to avoid it. I am usually using a somewhat heavy tension, but my picks are not getting bent up. Working on learning when and how to adjust tension. Will keep looking for good info here, but this seemed like the right time and place for this sort of post. Can be tricky to figure what I am doing wrong. Most evenings I practice for at least an hour. Any thoughts?

Have you tried using light tension?

I do some of the time. Maybe I should give it more of a chance. It just seems like I have more sense of sense of what’s going on when I go heavier, so I feel like I sense the binding and the clicking better. Maybe it has something to do with what I’ve heard from certain people. I will give it more of a chance and see. Thanks :)
