It gave a distinct "false set" and the plug turned about 10 degrees. I then probed each pin and #1 gave some counter-rotation and pushing a bit harder, the lock then turned open.
To verify what I was feeling, I relocked it and picked it a second time... and then a third. It was always Pin 1 that gave counter-rotation and then the plug turned.
I was expecting the Schlage had ONE (1) security pin. Wrong!
Pins 1-4 were all spool. Pin 5 was a normal driver.
I did not expect that.
This is a good practice lock.
