The Kwikset failed. And one attempt at the Schlage also ended badly.
Hint: file only the true dimples, not the burnishing marks. Wait for a good mark if you're not sure.

Cool! Kwiksets have blunted pins, so I imagine they don't leave very distinct marks. My first impressions were on a Schlage too!
