Well I gave them a call and chatted with the lady there who suggested the 341 with a 1" shackle and Executive key. She thought that the 350 would be too big and the 340 would be overkill.
They only sell things via regional sales centers so she referred me to a local place that turns out to only be about 40 minutes away from my house. I called them up and the guy agreed that the 341 would be a good choice.
I decided to go the overkill route and get the 340 with a couple of Executive keys. It was only $20 more for the extra durability.
And Rickthepick had a good idea...after this use, maybe I'll put it up on Ebay or something. 'Course it might be nice to have down the road for something else as well.
I really appreciate everyones' help! You guys are a great lot!

Nice man, glad it worked out. Did you stick with the 25mm (1 inch) shackle or the longer 50mm shackle? I'm asking because those truck roll up door lock mechanisms can be so chunky sometimes and I'm wondering if a 1 inch clearance shackle would fit ok. Thanks, Squelchtone

I stuck with the 1" shackle since the place you recommended said it would fit. I also called my father in law who has a Masterlock he's used on the back of these trucks and he confirmed that it's a 1" lock.

If you use the one with the integrated tubular lock, that won't stop anyone who knows what they're doing for very long. Actually, there's a decent chance the same is true if you use the type of padlock shown in the second configuration. If you're going to shell out for a big beefy piece of hardware to secure your door, make sure you pair it with an equally tough lock.

I purchased an Abloy Protec2 PL 340 with the 1" shackle for my Penske moving truck based on this post. It was a perfect fit! Actually this one has a shackle thickness of 10mm, and a slightly larger thickness would have also fit. But I didn't want to risk ordering a larger one, as I wouldn't have had time to exchange it before our move. I got it here: https://securitysnobs.com/Abloy-Protec2 ... dlock.htmlAs mentioned before: shrouded locks will not fit! I originally bought a shrouded Medeco M3 and it did not fit.

Couple thing that can help, run a Screw or Stop somewhere, so even if unlocked it can't be pulled open, unplug Brake switch, to keep someone just driving away with it all should they pick lock and Ignition. Also Optexamerica.com makes Driveway alert, RCTD-20U Little Round 9 volt Powered Motion Detectors, and the Receiver inside Motel Room or where ever you are staying during your travels. Drove Moving Truck from Mass to Florida. Had 1 inside the Moving Truck, and 1 inside a Car on the Trailer hooked to it. With the Chime unit inside room. Allowed me to Sleep with Both eyes closed. Hopefully Poster made it to his Destination.

After more than 10 years, I guess he did But the info you all added are still useful for someone that may find this post nowadays, so it's fine to resurrect an old thread. Cheers

Thanks, saw it was old, someone brought it back up, just wanted to add. If I didn't have the Optex, wouldn't have slept. The receiver accepts 3 Transmitters, has 3 different sounds, and a dry contact output. Supposed 2000' range. Use to be 1000'? Depends on terrain, buildings, trees. Great for Camping. You know when someone is coming up a trail, A Deer?

We drove 2400 miles across the country in 5 days, so we spent 4 nights on the road. Our car was on a car carrier behind the Penske truck, but since there was no way to lock the car carrier to the truck, I unloaded my car every night. I would back the truck + trailer against a curb or tree or other obstacle, and then park my car in front of the truck. In addition to the Abloy PL340 to lock the cargo door, I put this thing on the car carrier ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0031 ... UTF8&psc=1), I put this inside the truck ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000 ... UTF8&psc=1) and I put one of these in each door of the truck ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077G ... UTF8&psc=1). Simply pulling the door handle would set them of. Research your hotels well in advance, book hotels that are in a safe area, make sure there is ample parking, park in a well-lit area, and you should be fine. Oh and we also took 4 bags with our most valuable items inside the hotel with us every night.
