Manifoil Mark IV Help!

Hello,

I have purchased an old Manifoil Mark IV safe box but it's locked and the door is open, is there a way I can unlock it at all and actually use it myself ?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Sure, you can remove the back cover and carefully observe the wheels while you turn the dial. Make at least four full turns Left and then each time a gate aligns with the fence change direction. The lock should open and, if you took note of the numbers you changed direction, you have the combination.

Make sure you have the correct combination and try it a few times before locking the safe. If you lock it and the combination was wrong and doesn't work, you can throw away everything.

I think the Manifoil opens only when it is unlocked. So you may need to look into the change key hole to find out the combination.

There is a brass lip on the inside of the cover near the bolt, which is most of the time damaged, because someone ripped of the cover from a locked lock. I can't find a photo of this online.

I have a Manifoil that I have yet to mount. It has the option to make the cover locked on or not. I will try to remember to post a picture for you.
