EVVA Padlock disassembly help.

Postby Twentyone » 5 Nov 2020 8:18

Hi all,

I would like to disassemble my Evva padlock but don't want to destroy it in the process. A plug with a screwdriver groove is on one side but I can't turn it locked or unlocked without destroying it.
Anybody knows hot to open this one? Would be appreciated.

Nice job picking that one.

Not familiar with disassembly of that model of padlock. It may be designed with a circlip that permanently assembles the padlock and can not be disassembled without destructive means.

Hope someone here knows one way or the other.

If able to be dissembled, I would try pulling shackle out, maybe just a detent?, and with key in all positions. Plug could be Reverse threads, try plug cw, and ccw, with key and shackle in different positions, and combinations, shackle pushed in, but not locked like changing combo on pad lock. I take it there is no screw in shackle hole.
More fun to figure it out before Youtubing, or Manufacturers input. Good Luck

Thank you for the replies. The shackle has a retaining pin that I can't remove. It's permanently put together. No threads, no push or pull or any key/shackle position makes any difference. I guess the shackle retaining pin also holds the plug from inside. Would be nice to see the pining but I'm not going to sacrifice the padlock by destroying it.

May not be able too. Screw in plug on end gives doubts,
Didn't see anything on YouTube, hope there's a way, would be nice, and not hard to integrate.
