Q section.
I believe they were used in North America , not in the UK

Good luck with that. I've only come across A, D, E, N, S and W sections for Ingersoll.

I know its going to be a struggle to get any.
I have a few of these CS712 padlocks, new in boxes with codes relating to the keys (no cards).
I was told by ingersoll that these were probably made for N/American market a few years ago.
It would be criminal to scrap them so I'm putting them up on ebay but I would rather get keys and have them working.
I've even thought about getting the welder out and making a bit of lock art out of them. :)

How about trying to pick one? Or making an almost correct key just to open them? Is it possible to replace the core?
It would be a shame to scrap such beautiful padlocks!!!

Cheers :)

I'm not good enough to pick these. I've spent a couple of hours trying.
I've got an idea they may all be keyed alike (numbers are similar on the boxes) so I was hoping to get some blanks and cut one apart , make a key and open up the others and hopefully re-core.

Similar situation, I've also got a few SS65 Squire stronghold padlocks with Kaba 20 cores in (key numbers are on the packaging).
I was hoping to do the same with them

Sounds good. The kaba keys are easier to find. Those Ingersoll seems harder.
If I was you, I'd mill a piece of brass and make my own blank. Those are useless without a key, but extremely valuable with one.

Good luck :)

I'd be amazed If you could mill a bit of brass to fit the ingersoll keyway.
If I had a blank, I'd cut one open and make a working key without a problem.

I'm not talking an actual key. Just a temporary and fragile key to open the padlock once. With some jiggling and some luck, maybe.
Of course finding the blanks would be ideal.

Cheers :)

EDIT: is this the key you're looking for? https://www.ingersolllocks.co.uk/produc ... 7106998352

Oh, forgot. Have one with an R section. They make a number of restricted sections.

Thanks for everyone's input.
All the padlocks have now been sold (without blanks).

They wont come to light again.
They'll be used for training.
I would guess all 24 will be open by the end of the day.
