Pictures really help. Master makes a lot of models of locks, and some of them can cause differing problems. Let me break out a red tipped cane and give a few possibilities.
If I were to guess (which is all we can do without pictures), I'd guess the lock has a very shallow cut on a key, meaning that there would be a short key pin. Master has somewhat short driver pins.
Sometimes with a couple of short pins, the driver pin does not even reach the shear line. If the other pin stacks are picked, but the one with short pins is not, the plug can be turned with some force. The driver spring gets caught in the shear line and mangled/stretched. It can bind the plug.
Another possibility is if the plug is stuck at 180 degrees. Another cause.
Just when you finally think you have learned it all, that is when you learn that you don't know anything yet.
