Hi,
I am a complete beginner in lockpicking and I wanted to make my first lockpick. I am wondering how thin should it be?
Thank you, Jaka

Depends on the lock being picked. Thicker will be more robust but will have a harder time getting into heavily paracentric or very narrow keyways. Thinner works better but is more fragile. Somewhere in range of .020" to .025" is probably a good compromise of durability and usability for a beginner, and you can decrease the thickness from there as you get more experience.
