Because after taking it apart years ago for a post on the high security Banham (Equivalent of the Yale 5000), while reassembling I accidentally turned the plug back right before the plug was fully inserted. The plug was forward a bit so I could insert the cam in the center of the profile lock. The driver pins/springs dropped down into the pin channels, but off by one channel. So I could not remove the plug, and could not insert the key for easy disassembly. I drilled the pin channel caps/plugs to disassemble the lock without damage. The Banham is now reassembled and working well.
Here is the key to the lock.

I have made more than a few mistakes over the years. I try to make sure that others learn from my mistakes. That way they hopefully don't make the same mistakes I did. They can come up with entirely new mistakes of their own.

Just when you finally think you have learned it all, that is when you learn that you don't know anything yet.
