Sticky pins

I am fairly new to the lockpicking world. I have trouble picking a lock when 1 or 2 pins stick and they won't move. I have tried letting off on the tension and have even tried WD 40. I don't know what to do about it.

Do they bind when you have no tension at all? I am wondering if perhaps too much tension is being applied or if the pins are just stuck.

This would be my suggestion. Be careful with that WD40, I learned that it can gunk up a lock. Houdini all the way!

If you are using too much tension, the pins and pin channels can be damaged, causing them to become deformed. The pins then get stuck.
