Cary Safe Co what should I do with this HUGE safe

Noob question here. I recently bought a property and the previous owner left this huge safe behind. Looks nice and vintage and would like to keep and and be able to use it. Could this be open? what's the value of this safe if I wanted to get rid of it?

Do you know that the safe is locked?

Could it be opened? Of course. The usual locksmith's way is by drilling one small hole. Some do manipulate the locks. Cary safes can have a lot of different locks. I suspect this one has one that is more difficult to manipulate. It is that one if you can hear or feel gears when turning the dial.

Regarding the value,.. Generally HUGE safes are difficult to sell because of costs of transport and problems finding a suitable floor for the weight. Also safes which have their paint in good condition are easier to sell than rusted safes.

Hey Martin, yes the safe is locked. The left dial is hard and difficult to rotate and the right one is nice and smooth when rotating.

so not much value u? I guess I should find a locksmith to open it and fins a good use for it.

You can look into Craig's list for prices. They will probably vary a lot.

I wonder if the left dial is functional or just decorative.

I have found nothing about a left dial, so I assume it is decoration. There is also a double-door Cary without left dial.
