Am sure Femurat provided excellent Help/Advice, just to add if you can get in Vehicle, You could remove Door Panel, remove lock, then with shutter held open and opening down, may be able to shake loose or influenced with a small tool.
If a F150, their is a clip at door latch, pull out and remove lock.
E250 tougher as they are behind Window Track.
Just redid my E250, Doors and Ignition. Cost about $100 for 4 Door Locks, and 1 ignition.
For the Ignition, [ADMIN EDIT: SNIP! The OP does not have access to the Automotive areas, I want to keep a clear line between which content is allowed where, picking automotive ignitions is not for the general public area for obvious reasons] I would Have new switch ready and Orientated same as one you are removing. Then Insert new. Believe they say disconnect Battery, I don't. But if you have a problem inserting lock, Disconnect Battery so you don't have to Stress getting in before Battery dies. Good Luck
What Year and Model do you have?
