City Rake question

Back in the old days (1980s), there was no "City Rake" profile. (Nor was there a Bogota)
Does anyone know who designed this profile -- or which company first sold it?

I see there are a lot of companies now that sell this profile, and its very popular... and I was curious where it originally came from.

I was also curious about the "bitting" of the City Rake.
I took a closer look at the depths and saw that there isn't a great variation. There may not have to be, but again, I was curious about the design and what made someone choose this particular shape as the most practical.

I believe Peterson calls it the City Rake, and Southord calls it the L-rake. Perhaps ask Dr. Google for L-rake?

I've also seen them use the term Ripple, Long Ripple, Long Rake, etc.

Falle's Falle Safe lock pick set also had a "city rake" profile, but not sure what year that was released.

I'm leaning towards Southord because they had the S-rake, W-rake, C-rake, and L-rake.
