I'm looking at adding Key Cutting services. I've been told there are half a dozen keys types that will cover 80% of residential keys cut. Are the most common LW4, LF37, CB34R, YA5, LW5? Or am I missing some. Does anyone know is this likely to be the same in each state? Thanks

Hopefully one of our Australian members will know the answer to this.

I reached out to some friends in Australia and the only thing I would add to your list is the LW4R (used for Postoffice box's)

The C4/LW5 keyway is by far the most common. It was originally created by Lockwood Australia for use in their products. It is still in use today, more than 50 years after it was first produced. Can't wait to get a Lishi LW5 and decode some old lockwood padlocks so I can create new keys to replace the originals which have long since been lost.
