Hey all... I just moved to the Boise area. By the looks of the dates on this thread, there appears to still be some recent activity. To answer the question as to whether or not there's been a group created... I created one on Meetup. It's brand new. You can go to boisehackers.com and join or just go to meetup.com and search for Boise Hackers. The first meetup focused around lock picking. I did a Meetup centered around building undetectable malware last week and next week I'll be doing a Meetup focused on social engineering and using the Social Engineering Toolkit from Kali Linux to launch a phishing attack.

Twitter is a good place to find people for this. A fellow called Fallible picks in the Idaho area, I don't recall if its Boise or not. He's also a Defcon goon
