if someone could point me in the right direction

Postby Tommyblaze221 » 3 Feb 2023 2:29

Hi everyone, I was wondering what's the best way to go about obtaining locks, I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere with no car to check out thrift stores or anything like that. I've found some stuff on eBay already but, I was wondering if there might be any other sites where people may trade locks to others or any other means in general. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you just want "a lock" and are not picky, you've probably already found the best answer in eBay. If you're looking for something specific, one of the online lock supply houses is your best bet. A lot of the big wholesale places require a locksmith license of ALOA membership to purchase, if you want something and can only find it there, ask around. There are several members here who have accounts and are usually willing to purchase and forward, at least once you establish a reputation on this forum. I've make several purchases from American Key Supply and CLK Supplies, and can usually find what I'm looking for at one of those. (Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with either of those sites, just a satisfied customer.)

The #lock-bazaar channel on the Lockpickers United Discord has been another good place for me to find locks, especially specific ones that may not be on eBay often.

If you're in the US, I may be able to send you some locks too, just PM me so we can talk about what you're looking for :)
