I figured this was related to lock picking so I thought best ask is here.
When you've sharpened the edge of your key when key impressioning and you put the key in the lock and wiggle it, what are the notches on the key from?
Are those notches from the spaces between the pins?
I'm struggling to understand how impressioning works to give you the right key depth. I'm assuming the bottom of the spaces between the keys is equal to the correct height of the pin when the pin is in the right position to be opened.
Is that correct?
