Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Safe manipulation discussion is allowed, but safe drilling or other destructive entry is only allowed in the Advanced - Safes and Safe Locks area.
If you are a guest of the forum and have a safe you need to open, but you do not have the combination, we cannot tell you how or where to drill it.
I'm trying to open an old Aanon Safetron safe with an electronic lock and I don't have the combination. I've seen mention of a master override existing based on the serial number and I've tried to reach out to Safetron to get ahold of it, but have not yet heard back. I was wondering if there is anything else I might try before I have to resort to drilling it.
You can get a big magnet and rub it up and down on the door to lift the solenoid up out of the way, or if the safe isn't mounted down to something, you can bounce the entire safe by lifting it an inch off the floor and dropping it while you try the handle.
Other methods would be destructive and we don't post those instructions for everyone to see since we don't want to educate thieves and miscreants.

I did see that thread. It's a bit too heavy for me to try dropping it, but I was going to give the magnet and then mallet a try, but I assume I won't have much luck with either. Can you make out where in the picture in that reddit thread the solenoid is located?
Solenoid is behind a plate, just off center, and a bit higher than the middle. You don't have to pick up entire safe, just the front an inch off the ground pivoting it on the back edge of the safe.

Thanks!
I'll try to give both things a shot and see if I get lucky.
Several years ago members replied to a message about opening a small Aanon safe with the digital keypad. I have the exact same safe …..but mine is open. Even with it open …..I’m leery of putting valuables in side without a backup option to open it just in case. I downloaded the owners manual and it says to contact a dealer to request the override code unique to each and every Aanon safe based on its serial number. There are no dealers to contact anymore.
I need the override code !!!
Is there a “ universal “ override code ????? I can provide pictured and my serial # if needed. Thx
