1500ID Master Lock

Postby anvilheadsix » 22 Aug 2023 20:22

I have a1500ID Master Lock directional combination lock and I apparently botched it trying to reset the combination. I realize that bypass instructions are not given in this forum but being a newbie, I don't have access to the bypass forum. I've tried to emailing Master Lock, but I get the impression that's going to be a dead end. Can anyone recommend any resources to help me resolve this?

There are a few options! How comfortable are you with the mechanisms of the lock? Clicking the shackle in twice to reset, etc.?

What steps did you take to set the new combination? A common oversight is forgetting to click the shackle in twice to reset once the reset tab has been turned to engage -- this would mean the new combination may have accidentally been set to (the old combination) + (the new combination.) For example, if the old was UUDL and the new was DLLR, the new accidental combination would be UUDLDLLR.
