If its turning and the bolt is not retracting I dunno when your doing....Does it work with the key?

Try picking it, then getting a screw drive and try to turn it more

Key = Buffer than a Tauqe Wrench

first of all i know for sure that i am turning the key the right way because i used a key before i even started.....

i am only posting this question because i was reading all the posts and someone asked the same question that i have and ne one really answered it........

The lock dosent have a name but the key says Taymor....dont know if that means anything....In the other forum they said that the tip of the key turns the bolt part.....i have been looking for something long enough and strong enough to turn it...can u give me some advice.

Also maybe is there a security feature that i dont know about?

When you look at tht key,do you notice anything special about it?I mean does it have more dents than your usual key,it is longer??How hard do you have to turn with the key to open the door?

Until you break a pick in the lock and you cant get in. scrounge some practice locks and save yourself the grief and also you can take them apart and learn a lot more from them

You can generally get used locks very cheaply, that may solve your problems. The last thing you want to do is to break your dad's expesive deadbolt. With your pick gun and lack of experience this danger is compounded.
