One of the best impressioning tutorials I think! Question: why don't you rock once up and down before resetting key to center? Unless I misunderstood the video, it looked like you tension, rock up, retension, then rock down. Why not tension, rock up, rock down?

Thank you very much!

To answer your question, a few reasons.

A) It makes it easier and less complicated to explain the method/concept for beginners

B) To save time, because even if I bump up then down, I'll also want to bump down then up anyways. So just focusing on one area of the key at a time helps speed up the process for me

C) When you focus your energy on one area of the key it helps to make the marks more prominent and visible, as apposed to spreading your focus and energy along the whole key at once

___

At the end of the day what you are suggesting isn't "wrong" or "bad" to do, and everyone has their own methods that work best for them.
