pull the spline key out of the threaded rod, the spline key is a brass plate that is press fit into a channel in the cam and spindle rod. pry it up or pull out away from lock with pliers. Watch this video at 12m08s https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=deskt ... greenleaf1
