DIY replacement pick gun needles?

Postby hatrabbit » 6 Apr 2024 15:26

I have an old pick gun and need to replace the needles. Has anyone here found a good material to make them from? I would just order some, but shipping is 3 times the cost of the part... just being an old cheapskate I guess.
Thanks.

Over the last thirty years I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I've needed to replace a pick gun needle & I use mine all the time
I have had to straighten my pick gun needles many times tho...

Southord.com has a 4 pack of LAT-17 snap gun needles for $5.75 and shipping to you in CA is $5.67

That's $2.85 per needle, less than a cup of coffee at a diner.

I used a smartkey change tool for one
I also don’t use a pick gun ever, so can’t really comment on how effective that is.
