Make key out of an unlocked lock

Got a lock, RV type. It is unlocked but I dont have the key.
Is there any tool to put in the lock and get info to make a key for it or only option is removing the lock?

I'm not sure what you mean by RV type? Like a Winnebago?

Please share a photo of the lock face, is there a number stamped on it, a brand? what kind of RV would you normally find it on?

You should just impression a key--why pay an experienced locksmith?
