I can see how. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so. How would the clay know to push the pins to the shear line. I don't think clay is that intelligent.

Mr ules
I can see how
I think you meant to say I can't see how that can work.

That's because of how foolish a topic. Come on. I've read posts that no one's responded to that where intelligent posts. They stuck to the point, made sence, and was possible. And when people ask for information in regards to something, they're ignored. Yet, if I was to say that I could defeat a lock with a death ray, people would want to know the mechanical function of the death ray. Go figure.

I have gone back to my original name that I used before I had masterthief.
Its funny to see how many people were against me just because I was honest with who I really was. Its ignorance! These are the same people that I associate with on other posts. Its amazing how a name can change how a person is treated. I read in someones post that he wouldn't feel comfortable telling me certain information. Yet I could ask him anything with a different name.
You guys are so worried that criminals will use what you know to commit crimes yet you post in a PUBLIC FORUM on how to lockpick. A criminal wouldn't need to use you when there is a search button and open registration. The same people who ridiculed me are the same people who would answer a newbies question on picking. They have probably helped more criminals than locksmiths.
Ignorance......
Thank you to those who welcomed me.

Now THAT is what I was waiting for.

Personally, I know how a master thief gets caught. There is only so long you can do anything before you get caught. The important thing is that you did your time. This is what our penal system is based on.

All of these people who encourage and support the modern penal system often forget to realize that it is predicated on the idea or rehabilitation. The idea that once your time is up, you have served your debt to society. It's a shame that so many people then attempt to burden you with your mistakes for the rest of your life. This is one of the many reasons that so many past offenders re-offend. It's hard to have a new life when people constantly burden you with your old one.

As for our participation in a publically open forum I have always understood and accepted that there would be those people who could utilize these techniques for criminal purposes. I would hope that we have made it clear that it is NOT our INTENTION to support criminal activity.

The facts of the matter are actually much simpler than that. This information exists in a variety of formats and locations to such a degree that those who are intending to use it for illegal purposes can easily find it and use it. For those persons who like yourself, make a career out of it their access to information can easily surpass a professional locksmith.

A prime example is a safe auto dialer. For the working locksmith, the $5,000.00 or higher cost for one of these machines can be difficult to deal with considering the number of openings for which it can be utilized, and the amount of time it would take to pay for the device.

For a professional thief who's payday could eaily exceed hundreds of thousands of dollars, or even more, the $5,000.00 cost of this machine is simply an investment that will immediately pay for itself.

The real crime comes in two flavours. The first is the almost criminal deception of the buying public when it comes to the safety of their home, property and loved ones. The second is the one you knew. Utilization of this information for illicit personal gain.

We aren't just educating lock pickers and potential locksmiths, we are trying to educate the public and even the industry.

I for one was perfectly willing and able to accept you as a member of this community, and felt very much the same as Pinky when he said that many top tool makers were once on the other side of the law. The same applies here now. It is a shame that in this case, your choice of name caused you so much grief.

So, even if we don't see you here as Master Thief, I hope that you will continue to be active and participate.

This sure has been an interesting and long thread.

I went through each page and after a bit of medeco blank making, a lot of slaying, even more spelling, finally masterthief is back and romstar summarised it nicely with a signiture massive post. (Now my eyes are hurting.. it took like 20min to read the whole thread  ..)

Is it possible to separate this post into two and have a spelling thread? then we can talk about spelling till the cows come home!

oops I just made the thread even longer :P

Yeah, I was pretty disgusted with how people responded to you Masterthief. I was hoping that you would stick around; I am really interested in the homemade tools you mentioned.
