Hi i've been looking at devon locks selection of lock picks, i am interested to buy a tubular lock pick http://www.devonlocks.com/cgi-bin/cart/section/5/ and i was wondering would i need an 8 or 7 pin pick to open an ace lock i'm not sure if its ace 1 or 2 as it doesn't show on the lock.

1, 2, 3...etc. that is generally how counting is done . Anyway, just count the total number of pins in the lock and that will tell you weather you are dealing with a 7pin or a 8pin.

Has anyone tried the new model SO picks on ACE II locks? I have the old model SO picks and they will not fit an ACE II without modification.
