Okay, so I just bought 4 medeco cylinders on ebay, no keys or anyhting, just the cylinders with the pins and sidebar and I wanted to take the pins out of one. My question is, how do I do that? I it is way different than the other locks I have dissasembled.

This might help you, it's a servicing guide for Medeco M3 cylinders:

It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

Okay, so I got the lock open, but it isn't like anything I've ever heard about. It had one set of 4 pins with springs behind them held in by a little peice of brass on top of the "cylinder." I say "cylinder" because I am really not sure if that's what it is. It looks like just a plug to me, but inside it hass a set of pins and springs so I don't know. If it helps, two of the pins are serrated and they each of two holes in them. If my digicam was working I would take a pic but it's not. I took a picture with my reg. camera before I got it apart and once it is developed I can scan it in and post it up, shoudl be done later tonight. Any help explaining what this is and how it works would be appreciated. I am now very intruiged.

Nope, I figured out what it was though. What I have is some cores to medeco cam locks. I was confused because I have never came across these before, but that's what they are.

Are yours different in some way or are they just lacking the body?

Just lacking the body. Please excuse my total lack of knowledge here, I have never ran into a cam lock before. On a related note, can anyone tell me where to get a body for these cores?
