Gym Bag Combo Lock

Postby SugarPlum » 19 Nov 2003 21:35

Hi all,

I'm not sure this is the place to ask, since it's so elementary -- but I keep a combination lock on the handle of my gym bag and now I've forgotten the combination. I have a general idea of what it is, but obviously am not remembering it accurately. Is there an easy way to figure it out and get the lock off? I feel goofy carrying around a bag with an extraneous, useful lock hanging off the handle.

Thanks!

Kathy

It would help the knowledgeable ones here (that's not me by the way) if you could describe the lock. Is it a padlock with round dial, a chain with numbered wheels, etc.

Type of lock

Sorry -- it's a plain round lock, with numbers zero through 39.

Not sure if this method will work on your particular lock, but it sounds like it's a Master Combination lock, and if so, this is the link you'll want to check out. I haven't had opportunity to test it yet, but I believe others on the forum have had success with it:

This will especially help if you know what the last number of your combo is. Give it a try and post your results in here so I know if Ishould toss this link or not.

Good luck. :)
