So today I bought some hacksaw blades and ground them up a bit.

I think they came out ok, though I had little idea what I was doing really.

Also a tension wrench of course...

I got 5 lockwood locks off ebay.

Wish me luck!
Im sure I'll be back in about an hour with blistered fingers asking for help, but Im excited :0)

Well, actually I got another 6 pin tumbler.

I was getting very disheartened because no matter how much tension i put on the lockwood, nothing happened. At least I could jam the pin in this one, then I got it and ran downstairs screaming lots...

So I have picked this gold lock about 10 times now, and I'm very happy.

Now onto this lockwood. Sigh....

It seems that tension doesnt do anything. All the pins can be pished up no matter how much tension I use.

Any advice?

umm.. clockwise..? If u turn clockwise and the pins won't bind then try counter clockwise.. Im not familiar with lockwood so I don't know if theres something "special" u need to do with that lock..

anti clock wise on a door is the normal i think and clockwise to lock... depends on the setup

btw, with lockwood it doesn't matter which way you turn to open it..it all works the same

If the lock isn't actually attatched to the door it should turn either direction. And even if it IS attatched to the door, chances are it will too, just one way won't actually retract the bolt.

Not true.....it might have a flaw on one side bigger than the other hence more of an edge on the shere line therefore easyer to pick....
