I have a branch of WICKES in my local town,and im trying to figure out what these are,they look very similar to an era profit,has any one seen them in their branches,sealed packed s/l or d/l,even the curtain looks thicker than the invincible,same dimples,same hard plate above the keyway

Thats because they are Era, Wickes have used Era for years.

Quite a few locks get about under different guises like the union and yale bs and the assecs and legges. Its the same in all trades, mfi kitchens are made by their joinery arm called howdens but are up to 60% cheaper than mfi prices. Ours came to £1400 from howdens and mfi wanted about £4000.

yup wickes use era, used to use yale, also collin firth builders merchants use era but in black, travis perkins use legge but in dark green , sterling and adore are securefast , abus in red is an era as is an es in black.etc etc.

this is one reason why you can no longer rely on colour for lock id , though each lock has its own distinguishing points, such as the era dimples, if those dimples are their then its era, no matter what the face plate says.
