generally i can open the unopenables, this was fun..next (after practice) a plan on going on to 10 lever and whatever comes before :)

well i have been picking lever locks all weekend...even purposely lost the key to the cabinet so i could show off some skills

well today i managed to open a 35 year old 2 lever legge 7 or 8 times, a few 3 levers that i borrowed from a family friend and i managed to find a slightly new Union sash lock which was harder than all the other 3 levers that i tryed :)

Skold,
Have a look on Chris Belchers website,
here you will find instructions on how to make a pick for curtain locks, there is also a guide on doing non curtain locks with 2 wires (i think) anyways its definately worth a look.

Peaky, the last time I asked Chris about these guides, he told me he would send them to trading locksmiths only and I'm afraid Skold, like me, would not qualify.

But the pictures on the site give a good hint as to how the tools have to be shaped:

It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

Chris makes a point of saying that his home made pick designs are not to posted on the internet so i doubt you will get to see them on here.

chris will not post nor allow anyone else to post pics of his tools, in order for someone to copy them, these are also copyright so i wouldnt advise this being done.

if his tools get copied , he loses out, he then stops making tools and us locksmiths lose out, viscious circle.

try and come up with your own design
