Well I literaly joined this forum 5 minutes ago. I want to try out lockpicking. I have read the MIT guide to picking and understand the basics fairly well. Unfortunatley my inability to make picks or even procure the materials necessary to do so, have unabled me to practice or even attempt to pick a lock. I dont have much money and was looking into buying a simple 14 piece set off lockpickshop, when i noticed that there was American and Euro/Jap to choose from. It said that the euro set is meant for narrow keyholes wheras the American set is not. I am interested picking doors, cabinents, but especially and foremost Combination Padlocks (similar to the Master Lock 100T). I dont want to waste my money on an amerian set if theyre going to end up to thick to even enter the lock. So i ask the question, will American picks suffice?
I apologize if this has been posted previously but i did search and read the newb guide and found nothing answering this question.
