can't pick a lock twice in a row...

Postby wambooman » 21 Dec 2004 10:13

I know all you lockpickers that have picked 1000 locks. I picked my first one today. Southlord 15 piece set. The case really sux (no place). After the minor deception I got a tension pick and a rake. 20 seconds of back and forths and pop, the lock opened. This lock is a 80's model from the vachette corp. (I'm in france in case that name doesn't ring any bells). The first time I picked it I only turned it 90 degrees then I set the lock back in place. I then tried to pick it again and nothing happened. I then stuck my key in, unlocked it and locked it again. I noticed some extra tension. 20 seoncdes later the lock opened again. :P

any feedback?

and btw: on my old backdoor i never use W40 works great :P:P:P

thank you so much

I agree w/ SFGOON... You picked that lock twice...

Mabye to solve your case, I suggest getting slightly different pick such as a small hook, they work more efficiently and you should pick them easier, Assuming that you are new at it...
Wouldn't it be cool if you could look at people and make their heads explode?
