I found a electrical pick

http://www.lockpicks.com/index.asp?Page ... &ProdID=13

so if you stick this is a normal lock and press the button does it automatically position the picks so that the door will open.

I'm not going to steal anything lol. its just for my own interest because I find it hard to believe they would sell such equipment that opens a lock auto.

Wow, he found an electric pick. What an incredible discovery. Call the press.

Use your common sense, if an electric pick worked like that...

Yep, just that. It vibrates up and down bouncing the pins until they all (driver pins) stay at the sheer line. And volia! Have you read the MIT guide for lock picking yet lockcracker? You'll find it very useful. I think they speak of electric picks, but I'm not sure.

picking techniques that create vibration are based upon essentially the same idea: creating a momentary gap between the lower tumblers and drivers.
Electric picks provide a focused shock to all of the pins at the same time. That energy is transferred to the driver pins which, for a short time, are driven above shear line. If torque is applied at the right moment, then there is a window of time when all bottom pins are in the plug, and all driver pins are in the shell. At that moment, there is nothing to keep the plug from rotating, and the lock can be opened.

either it'll open or it'll frustrate you to the point that you give it back to the person you borrowed if from and tell him to never speak about it again, upon penalty of death.
